My aim for this project was to create new iPhone icons, designed after combinations of ancient symbols. For each icon I chose two symbols which represented the meaning or action behind it, and combined them into a new symbolic icon. Applying this ancient language to our modern digital world creates an interface which is not that different from how humans have used and interpreted icons for centuries, making our digitalised world an extension rather than a separation from pre-digital and even ancient times.
